Priložena slika je krunskog svjedoka protiv hrvatske desetorke na sudu u New Yorku gosp. vjenčanje Ante Ćarana u New Yorku lipanj 1965.

(Priloženo je zanimljivo a radi se o suđenju desetorici Hrvata u New Yorku od 16 veljače do 15 svibnja 1982. Bilo je 10 odvjetnika obrane. Za vrijeme procesa odvjetnik Dennis Roberts je napisao u stilu poezije sažete izreke svakog odvjetnika. Kako sam ja ukratko i sažeto bilježio najglavnije dogodovštine prigodom suđenja, Dennis Roberts mi je dao a ja kasnije poslao na uredništvo časopisa OTPOR. Urednik OTPORA Vlado Glavaš je to stavio u OTPOR br. 2 1982. Otporaš.)

                                              OTPOR U PJESMI
 
    kako već znamo, na sudu u New Yorku desetorici hrvatskih rodoljuba, kao ključni svjedok pojavio se nitkov, nečiji rob Ante ćaran. Sa svojom pojavom i lažima na sudu rekao je sve o sebi, a i mi Hrvati dobro smo ga upoznali. Donosimo pjesmu koju je sastavio jedan američki odvjetnik nakon promatranja i slušanja te kukavice. (To je bio odvjetnik Mile Bobana Dennis Roberts koji je sastavio ovu pjesmu, meni ju dao a ju ju poslao uredništvu časopisa Otpor kojem je bio glavni i odgovrni urednik Vlad Glavaš., mo.Otporaš.) Da bi se lakše snašli potrebno je naglasiti, da se u pjesmi iznose imena odvjetnika obrane i njihove riječi o tome nekom Ćaranu. Odvjetnici su: LIGHT za Antu Ljubasa, ROBERTS za Milu Bobana, RABIN za Milu Markića, EVSEROFF za Ranka Primorca, AURNOU za Anđelka Jakića, Sussman za Vinka Logarušića, MONICO za Ivana Mišetića, NONDON za Milana Bagarića, BLOSSNER za Miru Biošića, ADLER za Dragu Sudara,

1 – LIGHT rose first at Ćaran’s cross
and strove with skill and might
he exposed the dishonest witness
and proved that LIGHT was right
2 – ROBERTS rose at Ćaran’s cross
On contempt his questions border
He impaled the witness deftly
Using ROBERS rules of order
3 – RABIN rose at Ćaran’s cross
his voice both strong and firm
His many probing questions
made his lying witness squirm
4 – EVSEROFF rose to Ćaran’s cross
He’s kept many from the slammer
with voice like fire and eyes like ice
his cross was like a hammer
5 – AURNOU rose to Ćaran’s cross
with a softer subtle production
unlike Evseroff’s witness rape
his cross the art of seduction
6 – SUSSMAN passed at Ćaran’s cross
a wise a wily call
three cheers for the lawyer smart enough
to pass when not hurt at all
7 – MONICO rose to Ćaran’s cross
as smooth as olive oil
his deft destructive questions
made pop-eyed Baskin boil
8 – LONDON came to Ćaran’s cross
attacking with vim and vigor
he made the many Ćaran’s lies
Both uglier and gigger
9 – BLOSSNER rose to Ćaran’s cross
and displayed his great capacity
to destroy the witness story
and forever dispel his veracity
10 – ADLER rose last at Ćaran’s cross
and with adjective and verb
he blasted the witness asunder
like a lifeless pipe-bombed serb
The magnificent 10 had triumphed again
in the early vital skirmish
the world is out and all about
making future witnesses squeamish

NA ĆARANOVU UNAKRSNOM IISPITIVANJU
1 – LIGHT (Martin, Ante Ljubasa odvjetnik)
prvi je ustao Ćarana unakrsno ispitivati
i s vještinom i snagom razotkrio
je nepoštenog svjedoka
i dokazao da je LIGHT u pravu
2 – ROBESTS (Dennis, Mile Bobana Odvjetnik)
ustaje i unakrsno Ćarana ispituje
Na ne odgovaranje na njegova pitanja
On je svjedoka gnjavio ispitivanjem
koristeći ROBERTSOVA pravila reda
3 – RABIN (Jeff, Mile Markić odvjetnik)
ustao je ispitivati Ćarana
glas mu je bio jak i čvrst
Njegova brojna pitanja
natjerali su lažnog svjedoka da se previjati kao crv
4 – EVSEROFF (Jeff, Ranka Primorca odvjetnik)
digao se ispitivanti Ćarana
Mnoge je sačuvan od zatvora
glas mu je bio kao vatra a oči kao led
a unakrsno ispitivanje mu je bilo poput čekića
5 – AURNOU (Joel, Anđelka Jakića odvjetnik)
se digao unakrsno ispitivati Ćarana
sa mekim i nježnim pristupom
za razliku od Evzerofovog napad na svjedoka
što je umjetnost njegova unakrsnog ispitivanja

6 – SUSSMAN (Michael, Vinka Logarušića odvjetnik)
nije htio ispitivati Ćarana
što je jedan mudar i lukav savjet
tri hur su dovoljna za pametna odvjetnika

da sve prođe a da se uopće ne ozlijedi
 
7 – MONICO (Michael, Ivana Mišetića odvjetnik)
se ustao unakrsno ispitivati Ćarana
glatak kao maslinovo ulje
njegova spretna i destruktivna pitanjana
udarili su Baskina u osjetljivo mjesto
(Baskin, Stuart je bio US državni odvjetnik, US tužitelj za Miru Barešić, Ivan Čale i VELIČANSTVENIH 10 Hrvata. Ovu pjesmu (kao uz gusle je vrlo teško i doslovno prevesti na hrvatski. Ja sam nastojao dati razumljiv smisao ovoj pjesmi, ovom opisu, a ne poeziji) koju je napisao Mile Bobana odvjetnik, Dennis Roberts koju mi je dao još za vrijeme sudskog procesa u New Yorku. Ovo je izišlo u časopisu OTPOR br. 1982., strana 28. Prilažem također ovdje jedne naše prijateljice Amerikanke, Rita Willson koja je sinoć, subota 1 kolovoza 2020. ovo pregledala, začudila se sa poezijom ove pjesme, te meni rekla da će ona staviti svoje razumijevanje ove pjesme, što dolje niže prilažem pojašnjenje ove poezije Amerikanke Rita Willson. He got up, with skill and power, exposing the dishonesty of the witness and proved he (Light) was right

His questioning of the witness bordered on contempt (almost mocking and scorning.) He skillfully poked at the witness using his tactics, which worked well for him

This man who has been able to keep many from going to jail came down hard, like a hammer on the witness

He got up and examined the witness, unlike Evseroff’s attack, in a more charming, seductive way.

Three cheers for Sussman who skillfully, wisely, succeeded without being damaged at all

He was as smooth as olive oil. His skillful, destructive questions made the witness agonize in discomfort

He attacked the witness with strength and energy, exposing his lies as bigger and uglier than ever

9· Robert(?) Blossner – attorney for Miro Biosic

He showed his great ability to destroy the witness’s account and forever eliminate any truth to it

10· Roger(?) Adler – attorney for Drago Sudar

With his mastery of expression, he blasted the witness into pieces
