Nadalje, Rezolucija EU 2819 podupire “sjećanje na žrtve svih totalitarnih režima” ….., potvrđujući istovremeno poruku same Rezolucije 1481.“

Osobno i zakonsko pravo je svakog hrvatskog potomka brojnih žrtava 1945 godine, pobijenih bez suda, bez svećenika i bez pravde, da obdržavaju sjećanja na najtragičnije ljudske gubitke u povijesti Hrvatske, Austriji bliske i prijateljske nacije.

This is an appeal to the Croatian nationals and their descendants to sign the petition in opposition to the Resolution of the Austrian Parliament regarding the prohibition of Croatian commemorative activities on the Bleiburg Field, in Austria.

The leftist’s elements of the Green Party in Austria and their coalition members started a new initiative, this time stronger than in the past, to legalize a complete prohibition of all Croatian commemorative activities on the Bleiburg Field, now and in the future. Therefore, the intent is total prohibition, forever! Under the auspices and leadership of the Green Party and its coalition partners, the written Resolution will be submitted to the Minister of Interior of Austria, and thereafter, for the vote to the Austrian Parliament.

The rhetorics of the Resolution contains a repetition of previously heard untruths presented by the same anti-Croatian elements, using derogatory content which conflicts with domestic and international laws, particularly those of the EU. However, the initiative is real and influential, and as such, it requires a response.

Croatians residing in many countries throughout the world must clearly and directly oppose untrue argumentation, untrue accusatory texts which conflict with legal statutes, as well as frivolous approaches used in presenting the entire Resolution by the Austrian activists.

The leading Croatian spiritual and administrative institutions have for decades provided financial assistance as well as solidarity in participation at the yearly Commemorations on the Bleiburg Field, always in accordance with their counterparts from the Austrian Government.

The EU Resolution 1481 “resolutely condemns the crimes committed by the totalitarian communist regimes”; furthermore, EU Resolution 2819 supports the “remembrance of victims of all totalitarian regimes”, affirming at the same time the message of Resolution 1481.” Croatian commemorations are held for the victims of the “totalitarian communist” regime, and “remembering thousands of victims” in hundreds of documented and yet uncovered mass graves”.

It is an individual human and legal right of every Croatian descendent of the myriad of post-war victims of 1945, who were executed without due process, without the presence of a priest and without justice, to observe remembrance of the largest tragic human losses in the entire history of Croatia, a traditionally close and friendly country of Austria.
