Voial la lettre que j’ai ecrit a ma chere femme pour son Anniversaire le 25 novembre 2023. C’est en même temps la fête de Sainte Catherine:
“Ma chere femme viens te mettre a cote de moi, assois toi sur le banc devant la porche. C’est ton droit. Dans moins de deux ans il y aura 60 ans qu’on est mariés.
Voilà que nos enfants ne sont pas maintenant avec nous à ce moment-là, ils sont partis dans le monde; et de nouveau on n’est que nous tous les deux, comme quand on a commencé.

Il faut faire, c’est défait! Il faut refaire et c’est défait encore…
Tous ces soucis, tous ces tracas: seulement tu as été là. On était fidèle l’un à l’autre. Et c’est ainsi que j’ai pu m’appuyer sur toi et toi, tu t’appuyer sur moi…
On a eu de la chance d’être ensemble, on s’est mis tous les deux à la tâche, on a duré, on a tenu le coup.
Le vrai amour n’est pas d’un jour à l’autre, mais tous les jours, du premier au dernier.
Mets-toi tout près de moi et encore contre moi, on ne parlera plus: on n’a plus besoin de rien se dire. On n’a besoin que d’être près l’un de l’autre pour qu’on soit ensemble encore une fois et pour toutes les fois et qu’on laisse venir la nuit dans le contentement de la tâche accomplie.”

Evo pisma kojeg sam napisao mojoj dragoj supruzi za njezin rođendan 25. studenog 2023. To je ujedno i blagdan svete Katarine:
“Draga moja ženo, dođi i budi pored mene, sjedni na klupu ispred trijema. To je tvoje pravo. Za manje od dvije godine bit će 60 godina da smo u braku.
Sada su nam se djeca razišla, otišla su svojim pute u svijet; i sada smo samo nas dvoje, kao kad smo započeli.
Draga moja ženo, sjećaš li se? Nismo imali ništa kad smo počeli, sve se moralo početi iznova. I uspjeli smo, ali bilo je teško. Bila nam je potrebna je hrabrost i upornost. Također nam je bila potrebna ljubav, a ljubav nije ono što smo mislite prije našeg početka…
Morali smo početi iz ništa, i nismo uspijeli! Moralo se je  ponovo početi i opet nismo uspijeli…
Uz sve te brige, uz sve te mouke i uz sve te neprilike: tu si uvijek bila tu uz mene. Bili smo vjerni jedno drugome. I tako sam se ja mogao osloniti na tebe i ti na mene…
Imali smo sreću da smo zajedno, oboje smo se trudili, izdržali smo i izdržat ćemo.
To je bila naša prava ljubav koja nije iz dana u dan, nego svaki dan, od prvog do posljednjeg dana.
Sjedni vrlo blizu mene i opet opet bude uz mene, više nemamo šta govoriti: više i ne trebamo ništa više govoriti jedno drugome. Samo trebamo biti blizu, ti meni ja tebi kako bismo opet bili zajedno za sva vremena i neka noć k nama dođe u zadovoljstvu našeg obavljenog životnog zadatka.”

Here is the letter that I wrote to my dear wife for her Birthday on November 25, 2023. It is also the feast of Saint Catherine:
