Kako su oni meni uvjek stavljali da sam po narodnosti Jugoslaven, ja sam se uvijek energično protiv toga bunio. La Prefecture de Police mi je davala potvrdu boravka na tjedan, dva, tri, mjesce dana itd., tako da sam uvijek taj dan morao napustiti posao i ići na policiju produžiti moj boravak. Tako je to išlo sve do moje ženidbe 31 srpnja 1965.
Uvijek sam morao imati liječničku potvrdu da sam u dobrom zdravlju i fizički sposoban za rad. Slika prikazuje da sam stavio narodnost Hrvat, vide se samo tri slova CRO. Ovo je bilo 1963.

When I came to Paris in September 1959, I had to have a temporary certificate from the police to stay in Paris. As they always told me that I was a Yugoslav by nationality, I always energetically protested it. La Prefecture de Police gave me a residence permit for a week, two, three, a month, etc., so I always had to leave work that day and go to the police to extend my stay. That’s how it went until my marriage on July 31, 1965.
I always had to have a doctor’s certificate that I was in good health and physically fit to work. The picture shows that I put the nationality Croat, only the three letters CRO are visible. This was in 1963.
